Kaavan will be released in a sanctuary

Happy ending for Kaavan, who lives alone in captivity in a zoo in Pakistan. A court order issued by the Islamabad High Court has ruled that the elephant be relocated to a sanctuary where it can roam freely. In this way the sad story of this animal known as the depressed elephant will end.

Many thanks to the thousands of people who have signed up and cared for Kaavan's health. It is a victory for you too.

Rescue the Elephant Kaavan From His Confinement

This elephant is confined for almost three decades in a small place where it is also known to be beaten, underfed and isolated.

In a closed place that can reach 40 degrees of temperature during the summer, Kavaan lives locked and getting too little water to cool.

This is the life of this elephant that has been enclosed for almost three decades in Islamabad Zoo and if we do not do something soon it will die there, as Arthur Bear in Argentina Zoo, who could not be rescued and ended dying.

We want no more mistreatment from animals, and we do not want Kavaan finish dying prisoner in a place where it mistreats it that way, that's why we ask the authorities of Islamabad Zoo to relocate the elephant in an animal sanctuary in Myanmar.

Thank you!
