We demand the closure of Oruro Zoo
people signed. Let's get to 5,000!
Addressed to: Oruro Animal Protection Service
The situation of the animals in this zoo is unfortunate, Oruro is a cold highland city in Bolivia where temperatures can drop to minus 10 degrees in winter. For this reason there should be no monkeys, parrots, toucans, etc.
At this moment the Condor Gonzalo has a fracture and the authorities decided not to operate it because it would be expensive, which is crazy. By the age of the condor (he is 20 years old) he could live 10 years longer, and with this decision his life is shortened.
For all these reasons, I demand the definitive closure of the Oruro Zoo and the transfer of all animals to sanctuaries.
