In Uruguay there is a serious problem with stray animals and abandoned pets, most of them with serious pathologies and weakness. Currently the rescuers are private, and they are the ones who shelter the rescued pets in their homes, feed them and cure them with their own money and animal contributions.
The Zoo of Villa Dolores is closed. It is not rendering any utility to the community, that is why we request that it be rented as a loan and be conditioned to be used as a temporary shelter until the recovery and adoption of the rescued animals is achieved, since the location of the same would facilitate the adoption . Likewise, a public veterinary hospital, which is so needed, works in it.
