Stopping the use of high-impact firecrackers

Addressed to: Mexican Catholic Church

The high-impact firecrackers that launch in the festivities of many Catholic temples is an absurd, obsolete, and primitive tradition, which has nothing to do with spirituality, and instead affects the environment, and more seriously, the health of our dogs, since it causes, from panic attacks, tachycardia, hearing loss (which is approximately 15 times more sensitive than the human ear), until the death of a small animal. As a society, we have to learn to evolve towards things that fully benefit the human being, not the other way around. The traditions are not bad, but it is bad to continue practicing them, when they involve activities, they affect in any way the respect for the peace of others, and the environmental, animal or human balance. This must end. We can no longer justify harmful activities by claiming that they are a tradition !, and most of all, if we see that they affect our loved ones. It is not fair that the environment and animals have to pay for our absurd incoherencies as a society, and more, if they are practiced by institutions that preach love, forgiveness, respect and spirituality.

It is incongruous to speak and profess of this, and at the same time not to care who suffers from unhealthy and harmful habits, such as the high-impact firecrackers that are thundered right and left in every Catholic festival and procession.

I can not imagine a saint, an angel or a virgin from the sky, representing goodness, love and spirituality, and who supports celebrations that affect the environmental, human and animal balance, but I understand that according to each person's personal evolution , We choose to celebrate UNCONSCIOUSLY, thinking about what we think is good, without thinking about its true consequences.
