Singapore is striving to be a more caring and inclusive society. However, this does not seem to apply to some animals, especially pigeons.
This notice has been put up at a lift lobby at Kim Keat Avenue. From the notice, it seems that the pigeons would be poisoned as the description indicated "falling birds". I have seen how painful and distressed these birds are as they struggled to live.
The sight of "falling birds" causes discomfort and even trauma especially for the young. I urge the authorities to please stop this inhumane practice as it has not solved the bird population. Please look into more effective and humane ways to solve the issue.
