It appears that hunting permits are given away to give the pleasure to some of using their weapons, claiming that they are protecting "their own". Jivaro dogs do not exist, they are dogs abandoned by irresponsible owners. They are still dogs, their animal instinct will make them look for food, hunt to survive in totally unsavory environments. The sad and horrifying thing in this story is that these hunters kill for pleasure, they are proud of it, they photograph themselves next to the dead and mutilated animal, then they boast publishing their morbidness on social networks without any concern, in view of the same entity or individual who provided them with a ticket to kill.
Yes, how sad everything is! What a miserable reality. This is the link of the group "Jivaro dog hunters in Cuba" in my province. Hopefully, with the new Animal Welfare Law, hunting and these hunters are prohibited. Let's start by rescuing these animals and rehabilitating them, both: hunter and dog.
