Debarking dogs is cruel and unnecessary. There is a reason for dogs to bark. If you don't want your dog to bark don't have one, get a fish maybe. We should do the same to you, and see how you like it. The same goes for cats, why would you want to do that to a cat?
Vets or anyone else who perform this surgery should lose their license. Your job is to take care of animals, not maim them with an unnecessary surgery.
