The importance of this petition, addressed to our Mayor of Caucaia, is because we are glad that the work is decentralized by delegating to animal protection NGOs the task of taking the animals out of the streets, the problem is, where do we take them?
Caucaia has more than 65 thousand abandoned dogs among other animals like asses, pigs, goats, that remain in the street. Our Council of Social Defense, in the use of its legal powers according to its statute, work in favor of a better security for our population in Caucaia, and the security does not only mean the public or the public health, also the one of the stray animals, that being abandoned they are treated like trash by the society, and in another era, until the last management, they are discarded in an empty local, any place to be sacrificed, no matter if they were healthy or sick dogs.
That is why our Caucaia today is an objective of the International Animal Protection Organizations and we need support to change this reality, and in the new management many animal support groups are waiting for your response, NAUMI AMORIM.
