Addressed to: President of Peru Pedro Pablo Kuczynski
The pirarucu or arapaima, the world's largest freshwater fish is endangered due to deforestation, overfishing and mining that deeply damage the habitat of this animal.
This animal is in the Amazon River basin and goes to an imminent disappearance unless we do something urgently. But according to experts, there is little hope of saving it from extinction.
Due to high demand for the most demanding kitchens of Peru and other parts of the world, many fishermen have changed fishing patterns and to use chemicals that damage the water to kill them, including smaller fish that serve as food for this monster, so it slowly running out of food.
Today, authorities in Peru are doing anything to prevent this kind definitely disappear from the face of the earth, so we call on all so these magnificent animals still exist in reality and not in our desires and thoughts.
President of Peru Pedro Pablo Kuczynski, we need clear policies in the care of the environment and native species in Peru, please, do not let animals keep disappearing through neglect.
