Retraction and Public Reparation!

On February 5, 2018, a video was broadcast on the Mundo Rural Rural channel on YouTube, where presenter Carmen Cestari says:

"The animal husbandry team warns that there is nothing serious ecological concern, but what we call here in the drafting of the Rural Business of TEC - Ecological Disorder Compulsive, a DISEASE that reaches some ecological IGNORANTES that by ignoring scientific foundations real, once again used as HANDS OF WORK [...] ".

Our question is:

Does Carmen Cestari have any training in psychology and / or psychiatry to make such a diagnosis? At the end of the day, her training, as far as we could find out, is restricted in the areas of architecture, journalism, and, in short, is also an entrepreneur who owns butchers. Or, does journalistic writing have specialized planning in the areas of psychology and / or psychiatry to institute a mental disorder?

OUR PLACEMENT:

It is important to note that such a term (Ecological Compulsive Disorder) does not even exist among the nomenclatures instituted by psychology, not even by psychiatry, related to such disorder. Following our observation, let's continue:

1. The presenter is related between the term disease and disorder, an association that is pejorative, preconceived and generalizing, since in psychology and psychiatry few mental clinical pictures present characteristics of disease in the exact sense of the word, ie, alterations of functions of the organism as a whole or an organ that presents specific physical symptoms. In addition to associated ills and mental disorders, it prevents differences between individuals from being recognized, making it difficult to meet the needs of each individual, thus massifying and labeling people and situations. Recalling that it was approved in 2009 by the Federal Chamber of Bill 6013/01 determining that the term mental disorder is the appropriate term to name diseases of the mind. Thus reducing scenarios of prejudice for their carriers by calling them sick.

2. According to the Regional Council of Psychology, it is not up to the psychology professional to diagnose or analyze the behavior of individuals in social media, since such individuals are not their patients, and even if they were, they would be protected by professional secrecy, only the right to explain how Psychology can contribute in certain cases, without ever referring directly to a person, group or class. Otherwise, it is damaging the Code of Ethics of the profession. What then to say of a citizen who has no training in the area of ​​mental health and newspaper writing, which in thesis instituted a disorder, called disease and generalized a class of "ecological ignoramus"? The class that in theory, before the subject treated in the video, are activists, vegans, environmentalists, protectors and sympathizers of the animal cause that fight by the end of the shipments of live load.

3. Freedom of expression is the right to freely express thoughts and intellectual activities, to express an opinion, and NEVER to hurt the individual freedom of the other. Article X, item 5 of the Federal Constitution makes it clear that individual privacy, privacy, honor, and the image that individuals construct for themselves, themselves and society can not be violated and harmed. Emphasizing that crimes against honor constitute insult and defamation. OUR REQUEST It is:

The retraction and public reparation of preconceived concepts absurdly discharged, implying moral damages, as well as possible crimes against honor, allowing even the handling of compensation action for the offense exposed in social media without professional qualification of the area of ​​mental health by the journalist society. It is also true that the radio station Mundo Rural Business is responsible for clarifying the lack of the Ecological Compulsive Disorder (ECT), noting that the journalist who reproduced such information has no knowledge of it, but, on the contrary, her statement lacks a minimum of scientific basis, but reprehensible preconceived opinion.
