To those H. Authorities
Through the present or course we allow ourselves to distract your attention in order to inform you that on January 9th of the current there was a devastating and lamentable act against a Mexican citizen in Belgium, this unfortunate fact was the death of Alma Berenice Osorio De Viana because of domestic violence according to the Mexican Embassy in Belgium, in addition to public media have published different notes which emphasize that his husband the Belgian citizen named Tom P. confessed freely and spontaneously perpetrated the fact that left Alma Berenice lifeless.
To this end we allow ourselves to provide the following note as a detail of the events that occurred:
"Berenice, 32 years old, died on Tuesday, January 9 of the current year in Kasterlee, Belgium where she lived with the alleged perpetrator of her murder, her partner and father of her two daughters, Tom P.
The Embassy of Mexico in Belgium warned her father about Berenice’s death on Friday, January 12, 2018 "
Subsequently, and since the aforementioned communication of January 12, our family has gone to various authorities, to get support and guidance without so far have received any support, communication or advice from:
The Embassy of Mexico in Belgium
The Embassy of Belgium in Mexico
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Unfortunately, we have only had support from non-governmental organizations that support women and recently from the National Commission for Human Rights.
Additionally, until January 17, the Embassy of Mexico in Belgium issued only one statement through its Facebook social network page, without this presenting information or process to follow.
For the foregoing, in our capacity as relatives of Alma Berenice Osorio De Viana we request those H. Authorities in representation of the institutions to lend them their function:
Repatriation of the body of Berenice.
Guard and custody of the youngest daughters of the present-day occident.
Follow-up, attention and information about the status of the trial followed against the confessed murderer in public media Tom P. and in case there is no judicial action is presented to avoid leaving this criminal act unpunished.
That we be assigned a free legal representation that allows us to have legal and total access in Belgium and Mexico for everything related to this case.
We are given the support and legal and administrative advice necessary for minors to acquire their legal documentation that accredits them as Mexican citizens among their passport, in the understanding that the children are the daughters of a Mexican citizen.
That in case it becomes necessary we are given all financial support for any kind of payment, funeral expenses, administrative, and even if it is necessary for a family member to go to Belgium, in Mexico and Belgium.
We must be provided with the death certificate of Alma Berenice Osorio De Viana with apostille and the birth certificates of the minors as well as apostilles.
Be confirmed that the minors do not have psychological or physical consequences of having been material victims of domestic violence as well as their deceased mother.
