Year after year are present in our party the attraction for children of the pony carousel. Behind the "fun" it can get to seem for some kids and parents there are many more reasons that make it a VERY LITTLE attraction.
Usually, these attractions are often characterized because they sedate animals.
-The animals suffer marathon days (between 8 and 10 hours on average) spinning on an axis, reaching between 1500 or 2000 laps per night without stopping.
-The attachment of the saddle to the shaft causes them severe pain and, over time, deviations from the spine.
- The continuous rubbing of their hooves even with helmets, in hard surfaces, produce them injuries.
-The music in the fair is very high and each attraction has its own loudspeakers. They measure up to 130db (equivalent to a plane taking off). This aggression against their delicate ears causes deafness and stress. The lights of attractions can cause damage and even partial blindness.
-The ponies of the fair do not have any type of sanitary control, becoming a real sanitary risk (equine encephalomyelitis) for the people.
WE PROPOSE: The modification of the attraction being replaced the animals with stuffed animals, as carried out by the mayor José María García Urbano in Estepona, as seen in the right part of the photo of the petition.
