Animals are part of the life of all people, and also maintain the ecological balance of the planet. In Portugal there are only private hospitals for animals and they charge exorbitant and unacceptable prices, so most people are not able to bring their animals to treat them.
Even if a person wants to help an injured animal, he cannot do it unless he is rich and can afford it.
