The state of the animals of the Municipal Shelter of Yopal Casanare (Colombia) is deplorable; Where animals are sick, hungry, without the slightest care and hygiene. Both healthy and sick cats and dogs are mixed, and many are murdered or disappeared to leave no evidence.
The lack of attention that the Mayor has given to this place, without fitting and hiring the necessary staff so that the animals have the necessary conditions for their survival is a shame that we must end.
We are waiting for a response from the municipal administration to complaints from the community about the state of abandonment of these domestic animals, taking into account that Colombian law sanctions animal abuse.
We ask the Mayor to expand the municipal shelter, and hire the necessary professionals to keep them from dying animals.
