Because such chemicals, such as detergents, powdered soaps, caustic soda, creolina and the like, are harmful to dogs strolling on the streets, intoxicating them and even leading them to death.
Several dogs have died and others have been poisoned and intoxicated by these products used to clean the sidewalks, so I ask Mayor Marcelo Crivella to prohibit them. There are other ways to keep the sidewalks clean without using the chemicals that are killing our dogs.
