There are so many people who do not have money, or very little, that they cannot make to attend to their pets because the veterinaries are very expensive. Even with an animal insurance, people can not take their pets to the vet so they end up abandoning them in associations, or animal sanctuaries, etc.
There is more and more poverty, so there are more animals on the streets because their owners abandon them because they can not afford their veterinary treatments or vaccines. I think that building free veterinary clinics will reduce the number of abandoned animals, improving the lives of animals and their owners.
