Open a street that should not have obstacles

Addressed to: Municipal Government of Altamira

The Arecas housing complex in Altamira, Tamaulipas, is located between Pemex's polymer and duct companies. Since 2012, several groups of neighbors have closed two access roads, Palma Street and Nogal Street, in order to collect a "security" fee (being the personal business of the ringleaders). Each group that has set up has used this as a way of doing business by taking money from neighbors who pay the fee.

There are dissatisfied neighbors who do not pay because our contract of sale does not say that we are obligated or that here it is private as these groups argue. The street palm pen has been opened and those of us who have opened have been the object of defamation, harassment, threats and even beatings. They finished these groups by closing it and sealing it with solder so nobody would open it. And many times they have denied us the passage to our domicile for what the public force has had to bring to exercise our constitutional rights of free passage and not be disturbed in our goods and people.

We only want those rights to be respected (11 and 16 of the Constitution). So we have sent trades requesting the opening of the street, however the municipality that is Panista under the order of Alma Laura Amparan, who is municipal president, has ignored these requests even though they have given us the reason that we must have the street open.

I request the intervention of the municipal authorities to disintegrate this committee that is only defrauding the residents of Arecas.
