NO the exploitation and mistreatment of animals in Arraial D'Ajuda / BA

Addressed to: Municipality of Porto Seguro and 5 more

Residents and tourists visiting the District of Arraial d'Ajuda, in the city of Porto Seguro / BA, have been facing the most diverse cases of ill treatment for a long time, however, there is a specific case that deserves support and Attention.

It is an individual who exploits a horse and a dog, and through tricks similar to those of circuses, places the dog to balance on the horse. As if it were not enough, such presentations occur daily at the margins of local beaches and throughout the urban center, under the hot summer sun, that with days of exploitation that go from 08:00 to 23:00.

Such exploitation is usual, even the dog that was exploited previously ended up dying, and was easily replaced by the current one. However, it is inconceivable that in the 21st century, animal exploitation continues to be a problem that is so recurrent and at the same time forgotten by the competent authorities.

Consequently, in order to obtain financial gains, the explorer exposes the animals as objects in the form of a "tourist attraction". After all, Arraial d'Ajuda occupies a prominent position in tourism and receives families from various areas of Brazil and of the world. In this way, this exploitation negatively influences the citizens' education of children and young people, who sometimes understand that this is "normal", in addition to serving as a bad example for all visitors in general.

Please join us and ensure the correct application of animal rights, after all, ensure the welfare of animals and preserve the environment as a whole, it is the duty of all of us. Thus, we ask that this petition be signed, supported and shared with thousands of people, so that as soon as possible these animals are freed from this suffering.
