It is important to save the poorest diabetics in Burundi. They can not get diabetes medications: insulin, syringes, etc. Diabetic drugs are enormously expensive and for obvious reasons these people do not have the possibility to buy them.
Many diabetics die due to lack of medication, that is why we want a medical emergency declared and the United Nations and the World Health Organization send everything necessary to meet the needs of diabetics in the country.
