Let Our Uruguay Be Like Holland in Animal Rights

Parliamentarians, who are our employees, must know that the people want severe penalties for animal abusers, for abandon an animal or for the murderers. We owe them respect, the animals are a noble creation of God, they are our companions in life.
Netherlands, two years ago, created a police division to defend animals, called Animal Cops. This division aims to prevent abuse and killing of animals, and was an innovation on the rights of animals, is today an example for the world.
We must also say that the Dutch government has been the first to get no stray dogs in their country. All this was accomplished with four simple steps:
1 - Animals rights comparable to those of humans.
2 - Fines of up to 3 years in prison for people who mistreat or abandon an animal.
3 - Free neutering campaigns for pets and strays dogs.
4 - Tax for the purchase of purebred dogs.
That's what we want and need in our country, that the Government take the same measures that the Netherlands, to end animal abuse. We need a government acting on behalf of people with Laws that benefit animals, without thinking only in their pockets.
