Join our petition to sterilize stray cats and punish animal abuse with civic cleaning work!

This is of utmost importance due to the increasing population of stray cats in the main cities of each province. Their uncontrolled reproduction leads to a greater presence of cats, which inconveniences the neighbors as they use their gardens and rooftops as a restroom. As a result, many cats are mistreated, and the kittens are abandoned, die, or are left in distant places from their homes.

This entire situation constitutes an animal abuse crime and cannot continue without a comprehensive solution. Therefore, I propose the following measures:

1) Sterilization of all stray cats.

2) Creation of temporary shelters by the municipalities, where cats can be sterilized and put up for adoption.

3) Instead of imposing fines on those who mistreat animals, change the penalties to community service involving civic cleaning, as the country's hygiene maintenance is deficient.

These proposals are based on the following laws:

1) Law No. 30407 of the Constitution, which refers to the protection and welfare of both domestic and wild animals.

2) Law No. 27265, known as the Law for the Protection of Domestic Animals and Wild Animals Kept in Captivity. This law declares the protection of all animal species against any act of cruelty that causes unnecessary suffering, injury, or death, as a matter of national interest.
