He ran over and paralyzed a dog for urinating the tires of his car, reopen the case, we want jail and millionaire fines

Addressed to: Government of Mumbai - India

This was the man who ran over a homeless dog and left him paralyzed from urinating on the tires of his car. Saurabh Dukhande, a resident of Vasai, a suburban city north of Mumbai, is today being judged by a large number of people around the world for committing a monstrous and detestable act. This man ran over a stray dog that was sleeping, to retaliate because on a previous occasion he had urinated on the tires of his car.

Dukhande did not have any remorse, dragged the dog about two meters ahead and went quietly, parked his car and entered his apartment without looking back.

Nanda Mahadik, who is an animal rights activist, was in the sector when the events occurred and immediately ran to help the dog who later received the name "Bandya" and took him to a Vasai veterinary hospital , but due to the seriousness he was in he was referred to a veterinary hospital in Kandivali.

Bandya is in a state of critical health and unfortunately was paralyzed because his spinal cord was severely damaged by the impact of the car.

Bandya feels a lot of pain, has pus in the front leg and needs to be under constant veterinary observation.

At first it was thought that everything had been an accident, but when seeing how the man went his way without any concern, it was understood that his intentions had been clear from the beginning.

Mahadik did not hesitate to file a complaint with the authorities. Thanks to this complaint, to the CCTV video that served as evidence, and to the intervention of the Palghar police superintendent's office, the man was captured.

The police made the request to put the man in judicial custody for 14 days to further investigate the case and then file a charge sheet, but the JMFC court rejected the request and the night was granted bail.

Probably, Saurabh Dukhande loses his job in the company where he works, because his boss considers that he could become a danger to other employees.

A little more than a year after this fact, justice is requested once again because it has not yet been achieved, and activists from all over the world are asking that the case be reopened and that this person be tried and sentenced to prison and have to pay a millionaire fine.
