Harmonize parking in the Brussels region

Currently, the municipalities have the power and the power to decide individually the parking rules in their territory. This is absurd because the limits of the communes are not clearly indicated. In this way, you can change the city simply by crossing the street, which means that, on the one hand, you can be, for example, in Forest and across the street in Saint Gilles. With parking meters that are not valid in one or another commune, and sometimes, with different rates. For example, the price in Uccle is much more expensive than in Forest. It is an absurdity that can and must be solved by means of a simple consultation between the communes. That would be a good point. But this is not enough: many residents of the Brussels region pay a certain annual amount (€ 15 to Forest) to have a parking card (outside the red zone, which is also an abuse).
I am advocating for a single resident card from the Brussels region that allows us to park anywhere in the region, even if it is more expensive. This is a simple political decision. Only the region will redistribute the amounts collected by municipality, which I think is simple: each municipality will issue this card and it would be directly beneficial without any other formality or difficulty. But our politicians can not get along, sit at the table, under the auspices of the region, to make life easier for citizens.
It is up to us to show them what common sense, ease and improvement (however minimal) in the daily life of their fellow citizens.
