Six Flags Mexico is an amusement park in Mexico City which every year receives more than 2.5 million visitors making it the most visited site in Latin America. It is the first of the Six Flags Entertainment Corporation chain to open outside the United States and Canada.
Six Flags Mexico is really an amazing place to have fun with family or friends, but we must realize what it really worth paying for "fun".
With eight dolphins and five sea lions, Dolphin Discovery and Six Flags Mexico offer a variety of unique interactive programs with marine mammals as well as "educational programs" which are available for millions of inhabitants of the Federal District and neighboring states, as for thousands of tourists who visit the area each year, so they can get an idea of the physical labor that employ the dolphins and sea lions every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday every week, every month, every year.
Dolphinarium facilities are insufficient to correct quality life for these marine mammals, also are forced to give poor shows and pose for photographs with excessive prices.
Spaces where "rest" these mammals are extremely small and with a minimum amount of water so that they cannot swim. Just look out the sides of the "scenario" to realize.
We must react to this kind of cruelty, not to accept this type of animal shows.
Six Flags Mexico has a lot of attractions to keep you amused, climb whenever you want on the roller coaster that you like but do not access the suffering of an animal swimming in a fish bowl just for your "fun".
While these animals are not able to live in their environment because of the difficulty of feeding themselves or defend themselves, they should be in decent facilities and ensure that they can have a full life without the need to jump or make funny noises a piece of dead fish.
Other poor animals are those that are enclosed in fish tanks and cabinets of less than one square meter, these are the reptiles in the Serpentarium located in the French town near the carousel. Snakes, lizards, and other reptiles live locked in glass cases with a deplorable quality of life, there are pythons and other species that may not have the body completely straight and have to live coiled in a corner of the window.
