Enact a Law that prohibits fireworks

Addressed to: Councilor Gilda Beatriz - Petrópolis - Rio de Janeiro
During celebrations such as New Year, Juni parties, World Cup, some people have fun releasing fires for long periods. This habit causes enormous stress to animals - whether pets or wild animals - such as birds, tatus, prawns, raccoons, monkeys, monkeys, among other species.
Petrópolis is a municipality surrounded by forest reserves, environmental protection areas and the act of releasing fireworks is definitely not combined with the peace that reigns in the districts of Itaipava, Araras, Nogueira, Corrêa, Posse.
In addition to the deafening noise that deeply affects the sensitive ears of animals, there is the danger of sudden death, flight, run over, as well as a serious risk of causing forest fires.
As these areas are basically residential and some are also rural, there is no point in releasing fireworks.
In the case of people who have this bad habit do not think about the elderly, do not worry about possible patients with serious diseases, such as cancer, not even with the possibility of having neighbors who have autistic children or have any other physical condition or mental that may be aggravated by the act of releasing fireworks in places where human and animal life should not, under any circumstances, be put at risk by half a dozen pseudo citizens who are only concerned about their own navel.
The city of Ubatuba, on the north coast of São Paulo, prohibited this silly and absurd habit and could serve as an example for Petrópolis.
Councilman Gilda Beatriz, we hope you will help us put an end to this habit incompatible with peace, tranquility and the physical and emotional health of the human and animal species in our municipality.
