SEDA (Special Secretariat for Animal Rights) carries out, annually, through a public space, the registration of entities and animal protectors active in the city, offering two types of services: medical and veterinary care, with participation of the 48 registered, and Brechocão, an event to raise funds for dogs, with 25 members.

In addition to joint action with guards, SEDA offers the following services: veterinary care for animals of owners registered in social programs; Sterilization, vaccination, deworming and microchipping in socially vulnerable communities and community animals, through the two mobile units (Amigo Bicho); follow-up on allegations of ill-treatment submitted by telephone 156; Adoption events, such as the Fair Adopt Me? (Monthly), and others made in the Veterinary Medicine Unit (UMV).

This School and Animals, a humanitarian education activity promoted in public schools, as well as fostering the adoption of community dogs for schools and parks; Victory Animal Health Unit (USAV), a hospital recently donated by Alexandre Grendene, with five operating rooms, four offices, ICU, chemotherapy, physiotherapy, blood bank, pharmacy, clinical laboratory, and the recovery room for 150 dogs and cats and a projection rooms for another 120.
