In the different municipalities of the Department of Cordoba, in Colombia, there is evidence of a precarious and inhuman situation of street animals and of horses used for harness, these poor animals are forsaken and made invisible by the rulers of the Department who do not take adequate and necessary measures to improve their situation and enforce the Animal Law.
It is time to create a Zoonoses Center dedicated to responsible protection and adoption, and the search for a work alternative for the poor people whowork with carts pulled by horses that mostly endure mistreatment, hunger, thirst and over work.
