Canada has some of the weakest animal cruelty Laws in the world. First enacted in 1892, these laws haven’t had any meaningful update in over 60 years.
It’s time to take a stand and better protect animals from harm and neglect. Bill C-246, introduced by MP Nathaniel Erskine-Smith aims to:
Close legal loopholes that allow animal abusers to go unpunished.
Toughen penalties for repeat abusers.
Ban shark finning and cat and dog fur.
Crack down on dog fighting.
Now is the time to act for all animals.
The first debate on Bill C-246 is happening in the House of Commons on Monday May 9th. Ask your MP to support this bill.
Make your voice heard by customizing your letter. Tell your MP why you believe animals deserve better protection under the Law. Personalized letters make the biggest impact.
