The Executive and Legislative Power of Peru have approved a Law that prioritizes the construction of a highway in an area of the Amazonian virgin forest of Peru, destroying an important part of a geographical area of varied biodiversity and environment, which compromises the existence of species, flora and fauna, in addition, threatens the ancestral heritage of tribes possessed in the area for hundreds of years and where there are also peoples of uncontacted ethnic groups; In addition, the Amazon area is declared a World Heritage Site.
We ask the Executive and Legislative Power of Peru to reverse this Law and not be responsible for the destruction of one of the few truly virgin places left in the world. Respect the World Heritage.
