Ask the City of Badajoz to allow motorcycles and mopeds to be parked on sidewalks of more than 3m

Addressed to: Municipality of Badajoz
The City of Badajoz has several spaces reserved for motorcycles and mopeds, some permanent and others at alternate times shared with passenger cars, given the increasing use of them, these are overwhelmed.
There are many advantages that motorcycles have compared to passenger cars, such as greater traffic flow in the city, less pollution, speed of travel and ease of parking, among others. However, despite what most people think, parking the bike in the city is not always an easy task.
And it is that there is no general regulations in this regard, which implies that it is not worth any way or place to park motorcycles, leaving them anywhere can be a fine or return and not where you parked.
The Law on Traffic, Motor Vehicle Circulation and Road Safety of 1990, modified in 2009, in its article 39.2 establishes the general prohibitions of parking. The letter “e” indicates that it is forbidden to park “on sidewalks, walkways and other areas intended for pedestrians”.
However, this prohibition has some exceptions, since it is understood that there are many different cases and sometimes there is no choice but to park on the sidewalks in order not to create a circulatory chaos. Therefore, it also provides that “Municipalities, through Municipal Ordinance, may regulate the stopping and parking of two-wheeled vehicles and two-wheeled mopeds on sidewalks and sidewalks provided that no traffic is disturbed or obstructed pedestrians for it.”
