There is no moral justification for causing any suffering to an animal for entertainment purposes, because it is not about killing to survive, but about torturing for fun.
I consider bullfights a barbarous and cruel custom, it is not tradition, because traditions dignify man and the wild bullfighting places the "man" below the animal scale. How can it be considered a show? Show, how?
If there are feathers, vertical costumes and festive music there is a reality that many Portuguese and Spanish are not aware of. The most violent part of bullfighting is hidden from public opinion and limited to the arena.
The bulls are repeatedly tortured in training, and hours before entering the arena they are drugged and cut the tip of the horns in cold blood. At the end of the bull they are immobilized and the harpoons nailed to their backs are removed with a knife, without veterinary assistance, anesthesia or compassion. After this process with the animal alive and suffering they are transported to the slaughterhouse where they are slaughtered.
Join me and we will end once and for all with this cowardly and unfair game between monsters and a poor helpless animal.
Let's abolish the bullfights!
