Because every time the abandonment, mistreatment and killings multiply, especially cats and other species like dogs, horses or donkeys. If we don't have severe laws with prison and heavy fines, this will never end.
We cannot continue to allow the abuse of animals, they are living beings like us and they deserve a dignified life and respect, which is why we ask that penalties for animal abuse are more severe.
