It is a shame to see these poor creatures in the streets, hungry, thirsty, cold or hot. It is time for people who leave animals in the street to pay fines, go to jail or in some other way, but pay! They are not stray animals, they are ABANDONED animals.
In our country the Laws do not protect animals or condemn people who mistreat, abandon and murder them. Everyone knows that with animals they can do anything that nobody will go to jail and not even have to pay a fine, and this is what we must change.
I made this petition because we want the Government of President Tabaré Vázquez to issue Laws for the defense of animals so that anyone who damages them, in any way, will pay with a fine and with imprisonment.
